Gas Killer could cut the gas cost of ynETH MAX's processAccounting by about 76–79%: roughly 565,000 of the 715,000–745,000 gas each update spends today. We measured this on real Ethereum mainnet transactions to the ynETH MAX vault. The saving comes from pricing the vault's strategy positions, and it needs no change to what the accounting update writes.
What we measured
All five processAccounting transactions we measured save over 75%, and the saving is almost the same every time.
| Transaction | Function | Gas today | Gas saved | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0xcaf7bb74… | processAccounting | 714,878 | 566,549 | 79.3% |
| 0x3015ff44… | processAccounting | 744,977 | 565,635 | 75.9% |
| 0x1c576c22… | processAccounting | 744,675 | 565,333 | 75.9% |
| 0xe29d8160… | processAccounting | 744,448 | 565,106 | 75.9% |
| 0xc6995839… | processAccounting | 744,047 | 564,705 | 75.9% |
We also measured four ynRWAx requestWithdrawal transactions. They save about 7%, because most of their gas goes to deploying a new withdrawal-request contract, which has to happen on-chain.
